Building your Flying Lotus
Follow these instructions to build your Flying Lotus.
Parts needed:
- Mainboard for the Framework 13 Laptop
- Screen
- Battery
- RAM:
- Storage – You can use an M2 2280 nvme drive, if you already have one
- Wifi card
- Antenna – Important: Do not use the wifi card without an antenna
- Expansion cards – At least one USB-C card is needed to charge the computer, but you can have up to 4 installed at the same time

You can build the Flying Lotus with Framework’s screwdriver that comes included with their laptops.
If you don’t have it, you can use a screw driver with the following tips:
- T5 (Torx)
- PH0 or PH1 (Philips)
Note: This video does not mention speakers because the very first version did not support them. However, the latest version of both the Original Flying Lotus and the Flying Lotus Lite DO support speakers (I’m currently working on updating the video).
